Protect Your Investments: Your Arena. Your Horses.
Our Story
From One Drag to an Entire Industry Standard
The Kiser story began with a simple mission: to help horsemen achieve better footing and safer arenas. What started as an idea in a small Illinois workshop quickly evolved into a company that reshaped how equine facilities think about performance and safety.
Driven by a deep respect for the horse and the people who ride them, Kiser developed the first arena drags engineered for precision — not just maintenance. From that innovation came decades of partnership, progress, and performance excellence that set a new benchmark in arena design.
The Evolution of Kiser Arenas
Continuing to Build State-of-the-Art Arena Drags — and So Much More
Today, Kiser Arenas leads the industry in arena consulting, equipment innovation, and complete facility development. What began with a single drag design has grown into a full spectrum of arena solutions — from custom arena builds and footing engineering to ebb-and-flow systems, geotextile footing additives, watering systems, dust control, HVLS fans, construction, excavation, and facility design.
Kiser continues to build state-of-the-art arena drags on the market, while constantly identifying new ways to improve arena performance, safety, and consistency across the industry.
In 2022, the Kiser family rebranded from Kiser Equine Specialists to Kiser Arenas, a name that reflects their ongoing evolution and commitment to serving every aspect of arena design, development, and maintenance.
More than equipment or engineering, Kiser remains defined by a simple promise:
Everything Kiser does is Designed to be Trusted.
Legacy & Leadership
A Family Legacy of Innovation
For over three decades, Kiser has been a leading name in arena design, equipment innovation, and competition footing management, setting the industry standard since 1988. From the earliest days of developing specialized arena drags to managing footing for some of the most respected equine events in the world, the Kiser name has remained synonymous with precision, performance, and trust.
In 2011, Bob Kiser and the Kiser Arena Specialists team were honored with induction into the NRHA Hall of Fame — recognition for decades of innovation, craftsmanship, and dedication to arena excellence. This milestone reflects not only the company’s long-standing commitment to improving arena performance but also its role in shaping modern footing management and construction practices across the equine industry.
Today, under the continued leadership of Jim Kiser, that legacy of innovation continues to drive every consultation, arena build, and piece of equipment that bears the Kiser name.
